Yesterday, Pastor Jerry’s sermon and the songs we sang remind us that we have the ability to experience God in many ways. We do that best by opening and using all our senses. The song “Open Our Eyes” begins with open our eyes so that we may see, reach out and touch so that we may feel your presence, open our ears so that we may listen. But, often we close ourselves down. We stop seeing, we stop listening, we stop feeling. And when we do that, we forget.
Jerry’s sermon reminded us to refocus ourselves so that we can hear God’s voice among all the other “voices” in the world today. To hear God’s voice above all the other voices.
Jerry beautifully described how we all want to:
Help us to have a humble wisdom, a searching wisdom, an inner knowing that comes from you so that our perspective of the world and our own lives is true and right so that we have confidence to take the next right step along our individual personal life journeys.
